IIJ Alumni: Virtual Launch of the IIJ Alumni Portal

31 August 2022
Online

In August 2022, the IIJ hosted its first online Alumni event to officially launch the IIJ Alumni Portal. The portal will further facilitate and support peer-to-peer exchange through a dedicated and secure gateway, access to unique multimedia content, research articles, a knowledge hub, and activities to further support IIJ Alumni in their work.

During the event, IIJ Executive Secretary Thomas Wuchte welcomed many familiar faces from Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and other regions for an open discussion on the IIJ’s growth in pursuance of our mission and upcoming plans under our capacity-building ecosystem of both long-form foundational skill building and short course training for sustainable impact for our practitioners.

Practitioners joined the discussion to share their experiences and learning lessons after participating in IIJ workshops and courses, including Matthew Odu Una, Public Prosecutor at the Federal Ministry of Justice, and Caroline Karimi Kariuki, Principal Prosecution Counsel, Chief of Children, Victims and Witness Support Division, Kenya.

The IIJ Alumni Portal is open to all practitioners who completed an IIJ workshop and course.
